FitScan FAQ
1. Is the white version the same as the black version??
Yes. Both colours use the same 8-electrode hand-to-foot measurement system, app connection and body tracking features. The white version simply has a cleaner glass-top design — only the look is different.
2. Where will my order be shipped from?
We have multiple warehouses worldwide, including Europe and North America. Based on your delivery address and stock availability, your order will be shipped automatically from the nearest warehouse. Free worldwide shipping, with estimated delivery in 3–8 working days.
3. What is the return process?
Yes. You can request a return within 14 days of receiving your order. Please contact support@vakoda.com before sending anything back so we can provide the correct return instructions. If your item is faulty, damaged or not as described, we’ll arrange a replacement or refund.
4. Is the Vakoda FitScan app free to use?
Yes. The Fitdays app is free to download and use. You can view your body composition data, trend history and reports without paying a monthly subscription.
5. Can Vakoda FitScan be used by multiple users?
Yes. The Vakoda FitScan scale is designed for the whole family. It can automatically recognise each user based on their unique body data. The scale stores data locally, while the Vakoda Fitdays Health App supports up to 24 user profiles, allowing everyone to track their health trends privately and independently.
6. How accurate is Vakoda FitScan?
Its consistency is up to 98%, comparable to medical-grade DEXA scans, the gold standard for body composition analysis.
7. What is the difference between Vakoda FitScan’s 8 electrodes and a standard 4-electrode scale?
Entry-level smart scales only have sensors on the base. The current flows from one foot, up through the lower body, and then back through the other foot. This mainly measures the lower body and uses mathematical algorithms to estimate upper-body composition.
Vakoda FitScan features sensors in both the scale platform and the handheld bar. The current passes through both the upper and lower body, covering the arms, legs and torso. By measuring five different body segments separately, FitScan provides more accurate data on visceral fat and muscle distribution. Research shows that its results have a significantly higher correlation with hospital-grade DEXA scans, reaching up to 98%.
8. Is Vakoda FitScan compatible with Apple Health and other fitness apps?
Our app can sync data with major health platforms, including Apple Health, Samsung Health and Fitbit. Once the scale is connected to your phone via Bluetooth, any measurements you take will appear in our app and then sync to your connected third-party apps.
9. Why does the scale have a handle?
The handle is essential for 8-electrode precision measurement. By holding the handle, a complete circuit is formed through your body, allowing the scale to directly measure your arms and torso rather than simply estimating them from leg data. Unlike other scales, the FitScan handle also features a colour display, so you can comfortably view the full segmental report without having to look down or check your phone.
